History and Institute Activities
By following modern trends in the development of scientific and artistic research work, and at the initiative of Dejan Kosanović, Ph.D., FDA full professor, the Institute for Theater, Film, Radio and Television was founded in 1989.
The Institute is involved in defining the strategy and plans for scientific and artistic research work, work in scientific and artistic research projects, publishing, organizing scientific gatherings, counselling, conferences and computer processing and storage of data.
Main goals of the Institute are encouraging development and creating conditions for scientific, theoretical and artistic and research work of teachers and associates of the faculty, development of young associates, extending publishing activities, improving international cooperation in the field of science, culture and arts and establishing scientific documentation center of the Faculty.
The Institute’s activities are run by the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, composing teachers and associates holding scientific titles, together with teachers and mentors at graduate and Ph.D. studies.
The first Director of the Institute from 1989 to 1990 was Dejan Kosanović, Ph.D. Prof. Kosanović was succeeded by: 1990 - 1997 Milena Dragićević Šešić, Ph.D., 1997 - 1999 Aleksandra Jovićević, Ph.D., 1999 - 2000 Radoslav Đokić, Ph.D., 2000 - 2004 Nevena Daković, Ph.D., 2004 - 2006 Divna Vuksanović, Ph.D., 2006 - 2007 Miroslav Savković, Ph.D., 2008 - 2011 Enisa Uspenski, Ph.D., 2011 - 2018 Mirjana Nikolić, Ph.D, 2018 - 2019 Milena Dragićević Šešić, Ph.D. The Director position is currently held by Nevena Daković, Ph.D.
