Call for Submissions - Interaction: Student Film Camp 2023

Interaction: Student Film Camp is meant for film students who, through cooperation with international filmmakers and under the mentorship of film professionals, are keen on participating in the creation of short documentaries.
The eighteenth edition of Camp will take place from 6 to 23 August 2023, when fifteen participants, divided into three crews during an eighteen-day stay in the Western Serbia region (in towns of Čačak, Požega and Užice), aim to make three short creative documentaries. Besides the participation in film production in the Camp, participants of Camp have the opportunity to meet and connect with partakers of Interaction programmes (Doc Workshop and IVA.lab), as well as through the joint programme Meet2Talk. Moreover, Interaction Festival screenings are devoted to facilitating the further exchange of knowledge about the current documentary climate.

Who Can Apply?
All film production, directing, cinematography, sound design and editing students with experience in documentary film production can apply for participation in the Camp.
Both submission and participation at the Camp are free of charge.

Interaction Camp since 2006
To date, 275 participants from 62 countries have participated in the programme. 56 short documentaries have been made and 25 awards won at film festivals around the world. A special success was achieved by the film Valley of the Rulers (directed by Efim Graboy), which was nominated for the best short documentary film by the prestigious International Documentary Association (IDA Award) in 2019.
